Is an Algoma Tree By-Law required?
Many Municipalities in the province presently have Tree By-Laws, which in most cases prevent poor forestry practices on private land. Currently there are no restrictions on private lands, except with regards to waterways (Department of Fisheries and Oceans). Please fill in our contact form with the heading Tree By-Law with your comments as to how you feel about this topic. You will be contacted with our results.

Sault Ste. Marie Region Conservation Authority 2008-17 Forest Management Plan
Regen Forestry is currently assisting the Sault Ste. Marie Region Conservation Authority (SSMRCA) in developing their 2008-2017 Forest Management Plan (FMP). This FMP will provide a guideline for the SSMRCA to manage their approximate 5000 acre forest using "good forestry practices" over the next 10-year period. The FMP qualifies the SSMRCA properties for the Managed Forest Tax Incentive Program (MFTIP), a provincial tax incentive program that promotes good forest management on private land, whereby tax savings can reach up to 75%. This page will be updated with ongoing announcements and information during the process of developing the plan.
